Everyone knows that he can sing love songs that would even make Hugh Hefner want to settle down, but most might not know his little secret. It turns out that this lovey-dovey singer is actually really into rap. That’s right, Ed Sheeran isn’t just flowers and hearts and puppies. The master of romance and love actually likes to drop it low and pick up the pace with hip-hop classics. Anyone who listens to his music could probably sense that he’s into dropping bars.
His songs “Drunk” and “Don’t” have subtle hints of his hidden passion, but what’s even more convincing is his ability to bust out Eminem’s lyrics. He did it back in 2011 when doing an acoustic cover of “Real Slim Shady” mashed up with Snoop Dogg’s “The Next Episode.” He’s also been known to freestyle with Waka Flocka and has even appeared on New York’s top hip-hop and rap radio show, 101.5’s The Breakfast Club. Recently he sat down with a French media outlet, Clique, for an interview. At some point they were able to convince him to bust out the last track on The Marshall Mathers LP - Eminem’s “Criminal” and it was legendary.
